This past Saturday the metropolitan Greek community of Philadelphia showed off it’s youths artistic skills. They danced, sang, played instruments and showed off a variety of associated artistic abilities in Egg Harbor, New Jersey. Hosted for only the first time at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox church, more than 250 kids from the GOYA, participated in the days events that started at 9:00 am and ended some 10 hours later. This day was especially different, because it was the 30th anniversary for the Delaware Valley Youth Commission, who has been hosting the event “Sights & Sounds”. Awards were given out to individuals and churches. St. George Greek Orthodox church of Media Pa. swept first place as a team and in most of the individual awards.
