Helene Giannoumis passed away on January 30th, 2017 at the age of 86. Helene was born on August 12, 1930, in Chios, Greece and immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1967. Eventually settled in the United States in 1971 in search of the American Dream.
She was the beloved wife of Elias Giannoumis, adored mother of Dimitrios and Niko, sister of Petros Kolokithias and Katerina Vafiadis and cherished grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on February 2, 2017, 11:30 am at Evangelismos Church of Theotokos, 6501 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19149. Family and friends are welcomed to her viewing one hour before service at the church. Interment will be at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
