Philadelphia, PA – Greek school students dresses in navy blue and white danced and performed as parents and parishioners looked on yesterday. Evangelismos of Theotokos church celebrated Independence day in an intimate setting of their church hall.
The tiny Greek school of 33 students with big hearts put on a show that brought on smiles. One by one, they read their lines with passion and enthusiasm. Poems like Bouboulina and Dipli Yiorti reminded the attendees of their Hellenic roots. Camera’s snapped up the moments while others repeated the phrases as they looked on. Two groups of children from Kindergarten to sixth grade carried the message that united the community.
