Cherry Hill, NJ – On Friday evening, St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill welcomed His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey for an archpastoral visit and the service of the Akathist Hymn to the Most Holy Theotokos—a moment shared both in person and through a live broadcast.
Held during the fifth week of Great Lent, the service brought together clergy, families, and faithful from across South Jersey to take part in one of the most spiritually meaningful observances of the season.
Metropolitan Apostolos delivered a message centered on prayer, humility, and spiritual renewal. His presence offered a sense of unity and encouragement to all those attending—both in the church and online.
Thanks to the livestream, members of the broader Greek-American community were able to join the service from afar, reaffirming the strength of faith that connects us, no matter the distance.
Following the service, parishioners greeted His Eminence and received his blessing, expressing their gratitude for his visit and thoughtful leadership.
