Philadelphia, PA – Teachers and students at Evangelismos Greek School gathered last Friday to celebrate OXI day. Students from kindergarten to sixth grade recited their poems and sang traditional songs that commemorate OXI Day, October 28, 1940, when Greece responded NO to the demands of the Axis Powers.
Students also performed traditional folk dances to round out this festive event. The celebration continued afterwards with a pizza party hosted by the Greek School parents and teachers.
