Upper Darby, PA – The Warriors came out and tamed those “Young Americans”, known as Hellas, by a score of 58-50 last night in PGBL action. That’s two in a row for the kids from the hood. A month ago, almost to the day, the Warriors and Hellas met up with the same result. The big difference on that night, was the score was not as close.

Team Hellas managed to play a lot better this evening, keeping the game close, and getting within a couple of buckets late in the game. George Pantzaris dominated the boards throughout the game for Hellas, while Tommy Poulos helped by dropping in a few key three pointers. But to many missed layups and shots within the paint cost them the opportunity to pull out a win.

Although at times they still looked like a team in need of leadership to become serious contenders, the Warriors continued to mature. The scoring was spread throughout the team and that’s a good sign. Will Galiatsatos lead the with fifteen points and Nick Karalis added fourteen. The Warriors now sit at 6-6 going into the final two weeks of the season. Confident and with a winning streak of two games, these guys could pull off an upset.
