Upper Darby, PA – The Federation of Hellenic American Societies of Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley broke new ground last night at their summer elections meeting. For the first time in the organization’s history, two women, Georgia Halakos and Georgia Chletcos were elected as the new President and Vice-President of the Federation.

The two are longtime members of the Greek-American community and represent various organizations in the area as well. Newly elected President Georgia Halakos is a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Wilmington Delaware. Georgia Chletcos a member of St. Luke and St. Demetrios (UD), will assume the duties of Vice-President. Both are known for their philanthropic endeavors in the community.
