Williamstown, NJ – Danielle Kousoulis lost her life during the tragic event known as 9-11 at the World Trade Center. For 15 years now, the annual Kousoulis Memorial Golf Outing has been hosted in honor of Danielle. This year, the event coincidentally took place on the day of her birthday, September 25th. Danielle would have been 45 years old.
Family members and friends came out for the day and celebrated the life of Danielle. Danielle’s niece and nephew Liam and Amalia Hagerty participated as golfers along with other family members for the second year in a row. Approximately 30 golfers, enjoyed the day at Scotland Run and many of which were Danielle’s friends. The golf outing featured a nine-hole putting green challenge and raffled prizes following dinner.
There was also one it has been 15 years since the passing of Danielle consume this is life. Some photographs were featured showing Danielle growing up as a child through her baptismal year’s raffle tickets were also sold to raise funds for the two scholarships. One is that her high school one is for the church.
Many of Danielle’s lifelong friends were present. Many from high school and elementary school (James Stoy, Haddon Twp). Julie Dangler, who had known Danielle from their childhood said, “ She’s an inspiration to us still, she would make sure we would all be here having fun, and we think of her always.” Her classmates later posed for a photo together. In the background, a collage of Danielle’s life was featured.
Each year the scholarship fund awards academic scholarships to a Haddon Township (NJ) High School graduate (Danielle’s alma mater), and to a member of Danielle’s church, St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church (Cherry Hill, NJ).
