Grab your glowsticks and get ready to dance. Electronic music is coming to Thessaloniki this fall in the form of the Reworks International Music Festival.
Billed as the 6th best festival in the world for the month of September by the American-British Resident Advisor, Reworks will last three days, from September 20-22.
2013 marks the 9th year of the Festival, which brings together electronic music artists both within Greece and abroad, giving a spotlight to talented up-and-coming musicians while also supporting many of the genre’s bigger names.
Those bigger names include Berlin’s Paul Kalkbrenner, Philadelphia’s Josh Wink, and other big names in the electronic music world including Siberia’s Nina Kraviz and Spain’s John Talabot. There will also be plenty of Greek artists featured, and a complete list of the performers so far can be found at the festival’s page on tickethour.com.
Reworks’ message this year is “We Define Our Future,” acknowledging Greece’s current crisis with a declaration of unity and perseverance. The festival organizers hope to remind Greeks to “define their own future without inertia and stagnation”. Reworks Music Festival is open to all ages. It invites everyone “from every city to become one”.
At the time this article was written the Festival’s website wasn’t available. So, here’s their Facebook Page instead.
