The students of the Greek School of Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Philadelphia celebrated The feast day of The Three Hierarchs virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Below is a message from the Greek School Director and Teacher:
Yesterday we honored the Three Holy Hierarchs Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, and John Chrysostom. They are referred to as the three great lamps of the Divine Threefold-Sun because of their dedication to wisdom and education. Through their teachings, we were taught humility, the Orthodox teaching of the Holy Trinity, and to honor our Greek language and culture. As they appreciated education in all various forms it is most fitting this year that we also celebrate our resolve to continuing our studies during this pandemic.
It is with these thoughts in mind that I am proud to present to you the Greek School students of Saint George Cathedral as they recite their poems in celebration of the Feast of the Holy Three Hierarchs and The Day of Greek Letters.
