Jeffersonville, PA – One hundred vaccines were given out yesterday at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church. Members of the surrounding community were invited to register and get their first shot at the Father John Limberakis Culture Center.

Rite Aid Pharmacist and parish member Jim Caravoulias coordinated the Moderna vaccine shot opportunity via parish council. Members of the church participated in the day-long event. Tom Cox, parish member and President of the East Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, supervised the distribution of PPE kits (personal protection equipment) distributed to attendees to help their businesses stay safe.

The next shot will be distributed on May 2nd for those who have received their first shot.
