Cherry Hill, NJ – This past Thursday, the Saint Thomas Hellenic Afternoon School, reopened its doors after a year of remote learning. Starting with the blessing of the water, Father Christoforos Oikonomidis, the President of the Parish Council, Mr. Charles Sandilos, the Chairman of the Education Committee, Mr. Anastasios Efstratiades, and the PTO President Mrs. Karoline Kokolis, welcomed the students, parents, and the teaching staff. All the children were excited to see their classmates and friends in person.

The Hellenic School of Saint Thomas begins the new school year with 102 students. The Principal, Mrs. Panagiota Delimaris, mentioned that all measurements set by the State of New Jersey for the safety of the students and faculty members would be observed. All staff members have worked all summer to plan a smooth transition for a safe and successful school year. Classes will begin on Monday, September 13th, 2021.
