Cherry Hill, NJ – St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church opens its doors and invites everyone this weekend (October 5-6), to celebrate the newly renovated church and the Feast Day of St. Thomas. The Holy services will be held in the new church for the first time. Metropolitan Evangelos of New Jersey will be presiding over the holy services.
The renovation of the church started in March of this past year and is now complete. The church was built 50 years ago. The new dome, bell tower, and facade have transformed the church into a Byzantine style Greek Orthodox church.
A month-long series of events, celebrating the transformation of the church, are taking place. The Agora Greek Festival will showcase the church next weekend for visitors.
