Upper Darby, PA – As the noon bells chimed on Good Friday, parishioners quickly worked to prepare for the liturgy services at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church. This evening liturgy services take place for Good Friday. The GOYA also participated, preparing candles that will be sold this evening.

Father Nektarios spoke about the significance of the evening, saying how this is arguable the most important evening to the Orthodox community. Hundreds of members will gather inside and outside the church as the Epitafio is marched through the streets in front of the church. Father Nektarios will lead his flock that will also carry a cross depicting the crucifixion.
