Mark your calendars. On Saturday, November 19, 2016, the Cyprus Society of Greater Philadelphia “Makarios III” will host its annual celebration at Adelphia Restaurant, in Deptford Township, NJ.

This annual affair unites the Cypriot community in the metropolitan Philadelphia area and features many exciting cultural themes. Cypriot folk dancing will be performed, and Cypriot music group, Antama from Cyprus, will be playing live music. The evening also features a sit-down meal.

An award presentation will highlight the evening, honoring Philip Christopher, President of PSEKA. Christopher has been the leader of the Greek Cypriot community and has dedicated 42 years of his life to the struggle of the Cypriot people for Freedom and Justice. As founder and President of the Pancyprian Association of America and the International Coordinating Committee “Justice for Cyprus” (PSEKA), he has spared neither time, effort nor money to support justice. A highly respected community leader and well-known on Capitol Hill for his efforts for the Cyprus cause and all Hellenic issues, for his unparalleled commitment, dedication and valuable series he has been honored and received many prestigious awards.Details
