Philadelphia, PA – Greek American fans united last night at the Philadelphia Phillies game on Greek Heritage Night. The game featured Greek dancing, food and the National Anthem sung by Elena Stavrakas.

The evening was sponsored by the American Hellenic Institute in Washington DC, Cosmos Philly, the Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley, and the Hellenic News of America.

The St. Luke Olympians dance troupe performed before and during the game, while the evening was highlighted by a fourth-inning wedding proposal by Chris Papadeas to Despina Sourias who sat in the Greek section (104). This was the second year in a row the event has taken place in Philadelphia.
