Upper Darby, PA – The Turkey and stuffing from the holiday break must have gassed up the league last night. The evening was highlighted by scrappy play in all three matches. The highlight game between Danny’s Boys and Rip City left us wanted to see more.
Warriors and Spartans came ready to do battle in the opener last night. The match up saw a lot of fast break action, but just as many missed easy layup opportunities on both sides to put the game away. Final score: Warrior 51, Spartans 43.
The big post holiday match up between Danny’s Boys and Rip City kept you on the edge of your seat. Rip City’s relentless comebacks to keep them within a couple of buckets was not enough though, to keep the determined and scrappy effort of Danny’s Boys from getting the W. Hellas and the Kings both seemed a bit off their game last night. Fortunately for the Kings, they were able to keep team Hellas, who stuck to them for the first 7 minutes from getting close. Team Hellas, always shows up with big hearts and a tough defense. Their still looking for their second win of the season. Final score: Kings 65, Hellas 51.
