May is Greek festival season around the Delaware Valley. From south Jersey to Northeast Philadelphia, the Greek community gets together each weekend for more than 5 weeks, to roll up it’s sleeves, cook, dance and sing and share Greek culture. At St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church in Upper Darby, the fun went on all weekend (May 17,18,19,20). Record numbers showed up and consumed all this festival had to offer from, food, drink and lottery tickets that benefit the church.

Under the big tent and in the church hall, food, music and art were provided as you walked around sharing a friendly greeting with friends and relatives. Our photographer: Eleftherios Kostans, captured much of the excitement in this two part photo essay. Congratulations to St. Demetrios and it’s wonderful staff.
