November 3, 2012. Upper Darby, Pa. – St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church hosted it’s 2nd annual “Taste of Greece” fall food festival. From Moussaka to souvlaki to kalamari, the gymnasium/hall fill with the aroma of Grecian food. Church and Greek school dance groups added to the fun by performing for the attendees.
Parishoners, family members, dance groups and children, it’s fellow members came together to work the food lines and manage the affair that filled the gym. Freshly made food from the kitchen and tent area was a constant as one observer told me. “We make everything fresh on the premises for this event.”
