Edison, NJ – This Saturday, November 7th, 2015, the Fifth District Cancer Research Foundation will host its 26th Annual Fall Gala at Pines Manor in Edison NJ. The event raises awareness and awards funds for cancer.
Some $885,000 has been raised so far, now in it’s 26th year. At last years fundraiser $40,000 was distributed throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania research centers. Fifth District AHEPA has continues to prove why it is at the forefront of fundraising as an AHEPA chapter.
The Fifth District Research Foundation is the largest and arguably the best recognized District project of it’s kind throughout AHEPA. Order of AHEPA Former President President Phillip Frangos, described it as “a goal for AHEPANs to build towards. Districts around the country should set and work towards grand achievements of this sort”.
The evening will award several grants to various organizations/research center. Cocktail hour will begin at 6:30 pm, and be followed by dinner. The entire Greek-American community is invited to attend and join in the celebration. Music will be provided by Alpha following the dinner.
