Cinnaminson, NJ – Some 600 members of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of New Jersey came out to celebrate their community this past Sunday. Hosted at The Merion banquet facilities, the event featured GOYA choirs from both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
The honorees were recognized for their contributions to their Greek Orthodox Faith in the Greater Philadelphia area. Each church recognized key members for service and GOYA members in the area of faith, hope, love, and peace. Many of those recognized had contributed 50 years of service or as his Eminence, Metropolitan Evangelos of New Jersey said “a lifetime”.
It was the fourth year that the Ambassador Awards had taken place and for His Eminence, Metropolitan Evangelos, it was extra special. Metropolitan Evangelos cut a cake celebrating the ten year anniversary of his Enthronement as the First Metropolitan of the Metropolis of New Jersey.
