Valley Forge, PA – Epiphany day was observances took place yesterday. All around the world, Greek Orthodox communities celebrated the historic day with church services and blessings of the water. The annual service commemorates the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River.

The St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church congregation that traditionally commemorates this historic event along the shores of the Schuylkill river, was forced to stay indoors, due to inclement weather. In the following video, we’ve added a few images from last years blessing of the waters to this years church services. Arguable, it is a day, that some say is more important than Christmas.
