Upper Darby, PA – Hosted again this past weekend at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church, The Epirotes Society chapter, “Omonia”, celebrated 75 years as a member of the Philadelphia Greek community. Their annual Tsipourovrathia event now in it’s 8th year was the back drop for this social gathering that was celebrated with special guest singer, Katerina Topazi, singing Laika, along with the Lazaros Paraskevas band and George Manioudakis on Klarino.

The dinner menu featured hors d’oeuvre (meze) through out the evening and a traditional late night patsa. The crowed danced the night away to the traditional sounds of Epirus, Greece, where most of the attendees hail from.

President of The Epirotes Society of Philadelphia, “Omonia”, Kostas Kravaris, spoke on behalf of the organization, before a cake cutting ceremony by all the prior presidents of the local chapter.
