Cherry Hill, NJ – Americas oldest Icarian organization “Atheras” united to celebrate their ancestry and love of homeland this past Saturday evening. The Icarians from around the country, including, Texas, California, Illinois, NY, Maryland and the Carolina’s came into town to join in the 75th anniversary of the Pan-Icarian Brotherhood “Atheras” chapter’s jubilee event.
The evening was hosted at the Danielle Kousoulis Greek Center at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox church and featured NIkos Facaros from Greece on violin. More than 750 people attended the evenings affair that also brought out Hellenic Federation of Societies of Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley. Presidents of churches and organizations all joined hands and spoke during the evening about the community which was highlighted with a group photo and cake cutting.
