Philadelphia, PA ­- Greek Orthodox Christians from across North America congregated this week for the 42nd Biennial Congress. The four day event brought together some 1500 delegates and 500 Clergy members who attended the event, that was hosted at the Marriot Hotel in Center City Philadelphia. Each day, lectures, workshops and an exhibit venue will provide a network for members to share their Orthodoxy and find out about the latest involved around Orthodoxy.

Vendors from all around North America and even Greece, participated. Booth’s featured iconography, desktop publishing themes and Laity related items for pastors and churches. Dr. Tom Papademitriou of Stockton College in New Jersey and student from the Hellenic Studies Center also were present and featured a booth. The organization was founded at the college in 1995 by the Reverend Dr. Demetrios J. Constantelos, Professor Emeritus of History and Religion. The Hellenic Studies program hosts many cultural and educational fundraising events to provide scholarships to both students and faculty members within the Hellenic Studies program, as well as to professors of other disciplines who incorporate Hellenism into their subject matter.
