Upper Darby, PA – The Epirotes Society of Philadelphia “Omonia” once again brought the community together for its 17th annual Tsipourovrathia on Saturday, February 22nd, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. The night was a true celebration of Epirus, filled with delicious food, lively music, great company, and of course, plenty of Tsipouro!
Guests enjoyed traditional Epirotic dishes, savoring flavors that reminded many of home. With live music setting the mood, the evening was full of dancing, laughter, and countless toasts.
A highlight of the night was the awarding of scholarships to local students, recognizing their hard work and connection to the community. Supporting education has always been at the heart of the society’s mission, and this year was no exception.
Also in attendance were representatives from the Federation of Hellenic American Societies of Greater Philadelphia and Delaware Valley, who shared details about the upcoming Independence Day Parade and encouraged participation.
