Pennsauken, NJ – The Pan-Icarian Chapter #12 “Atheras” hosted the Hellenic Presidential Guard, Evzones, for a banquet, this past Saturday evening before the Greek Independence Day in Philadelphia. The casual dinner was held at the Icarian House, Pennsauken, NJ. The 15 Evzones, led by Colonel Rodolfos Dimitroglou and Sergeant Major Eleftherios Theodorou were entertained by the ad-hoc group of musicians, a parea that gets together often to play traditional Greek songs.

Their main instruments are guitar, santouri, bouzouki, baglamas, and violin. The particular group that entertained for the evening included Harry Karapalides, John Roussos, Zacharia Horiates, Ilias Pantelides, James Nicoludis, Vasilis Hatzinakis, Alex Apsis, Angelo Karakasis, and Fabian Philippoussis. The Evzones, who were relaxed, out of uniform, joined in with singing, and all had a good time.
