Cherry Hill, NJ – St. Thomas of Cherry Hill hosted a boys and girls match up with Holy Trinity last Sunday afternoon in GOYA basketball league action. The games began with a prayer-ceremony in honor of Coach Kiki Canavos (formally of St. Thomas) who passed away 6 months ago. Both girls teams gathered at center court where flowers were presented to her daughter Janelle, a member of the St. Thomas girls basketball team.
Both the girls and boys teams of Cherry Hill and Holy Trinity fought very hard and had a close first half. But Holy Trinity proved to be to tough to beat. Holy Trinity boys and girls, left with victories landing them in 1st place in D.V.G.O.B.L. standings.
