Upper Darby, PA. Traditional Greek caroling returned to the neighborhood this past Wednesday night as the St. Demetrios Church GOYA visited the homes of fellow parishioners in Delaware County.
From one doorstep to the next, the GOYAns carried the Christmas spirit, greeted by warm smiles and open doors.
Each visit began the same way. After a quick knock, they asked the familiar question, “Na ta poume?” — shall we sing?
Voices filled the air with Greek Christmas songs. When the last note faded, the carolers were welcomed inside for Greek cookies, a donation, and a few moments of holiday cheer before heading to the next home.
