Philadelphia, PA – Strolling down 8th street in center city Philadelphia this past weekend the sounds and sights of souvlakia sizzling on the grill made passers by stop in their tracks. St. George Greek Orthodox cathedral in Philadelphia, hosted it’s annual Greek festival that featured homemade Greek food like, pastitio, balkava and lamb.

The sight of Greek dancing and Greek being spoken, just like in the old country made you want to step in and yell OPA! St. George’s festival is an annual event that is hosted at the end of May in the church parking lot facing 8th street.
