June 2, 2013. Upper Darby – The Federation of Hellenic American Societies of Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley hosted it’s end of year meeting last week at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church. Stathis Karadonis was elected the new President of the Federation for the upcoming year.

The Federation is an umbrella organizations for the Greek American community of Philadelphia. Some 45 churches and organizations have representatives that are part of the on going efforts to promote Hellenism in the Delaware Valley. The Federations highlighted event is the annual Greek Independence Day parade that show cases all of it’s parishes and organizations through out the Delaware Valley at their annual parade along the Ben Franklin Parkway.
