Cherry Hill, NJ – The philanthropic organization known as the Philoptochos society has initiated a national campaign to help with the economic crisis in Cyprus and Greece.
More than US$ 215,000.00 has been raised in the past few months by the national office. Saint Thomas Greek Orthodox Church joined the fundraising efforts this past Sunday during church service where donations were made.
The fundraising campaign has been titled National Philoptochos Fellowship Sunday and is making the rounds across America. The campaign is organized through Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
