St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Reading Pennsylvania hosted its annual summer picnic Sunday, during Labor Day weekend.

More than 350 members of the Greek Orthodox community drove down to St. Benedicts Catholic Church picnic grounds just outside of Morgantown PA, for outdoor liturgy services and a barbeque.

The Kefi Dance group of St. Constantine and Helen church performed traditional Greek dancing, while the crowd was treated to Greek music by the famed Philadelphia based Greek band, Atlantis.

The event has been hosted for more than half a century in Reading and in just the last ten years has been moved to the picnic grounds along route 10 in Morgantown, providing a wonderful setting and view of the rolling hills of Berks county. The annual event is open to the public and St. Constantine and Helen’s members encourage all Greeks to attend.
