Bensalem, PA – His Eminence, Metropolitan Evangelos of New Jersey, visited Greek-owned Sigmapharm Laboratories on Friday afternoon to conduct a traditional Agiasmos. The traditional blessing was hosted in honor of the launching of Sigmapharm Laboratories fourteen years ago this past week.

Welcomed by CEO Dr. Spiro Spireas, his wife Amalia, their son Sotiri and the staff of Sigmapharm Laboratories, they gathered in the new company lobby where the ceremony was conducted. Many of the staff members who were Orthodox, also stepped forward to receive the blessing from his Eminence, who was assisted by Father James Pavlow of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Trenton New Jersey. Dr. Spireas then led his Eminence and the guests on a tour of the Bensalem Pennsylvania facility where the blessings continued throughout the afternoon.

Sigmapharm Laboratories was founded by Dr. Spiro Spireas on March 1, 2005. They first moved to a 5,000 sqft space in Langhorne, PA, and by September 15, 2006, they had moved to their current main building in Bensalem, PA. Over the next decade, Sigmapharm Laboratories expanded and acquired additional operational space of more than 250,000 sqft Sigmapharm Laboratories occupies four buildings located in the northeast region of Philadelphia with direct access to major routes and highways.
